A Simple Way is a new full-evening solo choreographed and performed by Kokoro Dance Artistic Director Barbara Bourget with music composed and performed by Joseph Hirabayashi. Embodying the concepts of yugen (profound, mysterious sense of the beauty of the universe... and the sad beauty of human suffering) and wabi (transient and stark beauty)-sabi (the beauty of natural patina and aging), A Simple Way is a distillation of the creative life of a human being who chose to live her life as a dancer.
